Attackers trick users into linking to a malicious device by posing as trusted contacts and using fake Facebook-style links. Victims unknowingly approve a pairing code, granting attackers full WhatsApp Web access without password theft or SIM swaps. First seen in Czechia, the scam spreads through contacts and groups. Users are advised to check linked devices, stay cautious of pairing requests, and enable two-step verification.
