WhatsApp Plus Paid Subscription Reportedly in Development With Additional Customisation Options, Up to 20 Pinned Chats

WhatsApp is said to be developing an optional premium tier called WhatsApp Plus for Android and iOS. According to WABetaInfo, the subscription could introduce new customisation tools, including themes, accent colours, and about 14 alternative app icons. Subscribers may also be able to pin up to 20 chats instead of the current limit of three and use exclusive ringtones. The plan could later add subscriber-only stickers and more interactive reactions. WhatsApp’s core messaging features will remain free, and pricing or launch details have not been announced.
