22 people injured as United Boeing 787 Dreamliner hit by ‘extreme turbulence’ and forced to make emergency landing

TWENTY-TWO people are injured after a Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner reportedly experienced “extreme turbulence” mid-air. The plane, operated by United Airlines, made an emergency landing at New York Stewart International Airport on Friday. New Windsor EMS Seven people were taken to the hospital upon arrival. The aircraft reportedly hit high winds while on approach to Newark Liberty International Airport, so aborted its landing at the airport. It climbed a few thousand feet and diverted north to the New York Stewart International Airport.
