Starr was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday and spent two nights in custody before being hauled before a judge today. A court official said: “Alicante Court of Investigation Number Nine sentenced the arrested man to 12 months in prison and the payment of a fine of 5,000 euros for a crime of wounding. “The detainee’s state of drunkenness was taken into account as an extenuating factor. “The sentence was the result of an agreement between the state prosecution service and the man who was subsequently convicted. “His prison sentence is being suspended on the condition that he doesn’t commit another crime in two years and pays the compensation in the next 72 hours.” Most read in News TREACHERY Live updates as desperate Putin plots martial law in RUSSIA as rebellion grows PEOPLE POWER Ukrainians block Russian troops from nuclear plant amid 'catastrophe’ warning YOU WILL PAY Zelenskyy vows Putin will pay for every dead Ukrainian as Kyiv is pounded DEATH PROBE Russian tycoon found hanged in garage of mansion days after Ukraine invasion LAID TO WASTE 'Hundreds dead' as Russia carries out 'full-scale genocide' in 15-hour siege HELPING HAND Russian soldier 'in tears as Ukrainian locals feed him & help call his mum' Victim Bathuel Araujo, 21, needed four stitches for a gash next to his eye after the 2.30am pub attack. He told local newspaper Informacion the “very drunk” actor punched him twice and smashed a glass in his face. Bathuel said Starr lashed out after a friend he was with asked Starr’s pal to calm him down because he was being a nuisance. The Venezuela-born chef claimed Starr responded by telling him to “f*** off” and trying to push him out of the pub. He alleged the actor then punched him in the jaw and near his eye when he eventually responded by pushing him back. Bathuel said: “After he punched me I was dizzy and that’s when he hit me with the glass by the left eyebrow.” ‘Threats’ He said there was a second fracas in the street after the actor was allegedly kicked out off the pub by doormen, and he had cleaned himself up in the toilets. Bathuel claimed Starr went on to threaten him in English: “You don’t know who you’ve messed with, you don’t know who I am and what you’ve done. “You’ve committed the mistake of your life and I’m going to look for you. I want to kill you.” The pub has not yet been named in reports. Auckland-born Starr is one of the lead actors in Ritchie’s new action-thriller, starring Gyllenhaal as a sergeant on his last tour in Afghanistan. It also stars Danish actor Dar Salim who played Qotho in Game of Thrones, Hunger Games actor Alexander Ludwig and Cruella star Emily Beecham. Earlier this week Starr posted photos of himself enjoying the sunshine after flying to the Costa Blanca. One selfie shows him posing in sunglasses by a marina, and in another snap he is eating tapas. He captioned it: “Here’s some food. That I did not eat. As opposed to food that I did eat. Exciting stuff we do on here.” Starr built up a worldwide following with his superhero role on Amazon Prime’s original series The Boys, which is based on the comic book series of the same name. He started his acting career early in the 1990s. From 2013 to 2016 he starred in the television series Banshee which was his first role on US television. He played the part of an ex-convict who after 15 years in prison assumes the identity of Lucas Hood and becomes the new Sheriff of Banshee.
