ANTI-PUTIN rebels have vowed to unleash a fresh wave of “surprise” attacks inside Russia – just weeks after the extraordinary Wagner revolt. Head of the paramilitary group of Russian civilians Commander Caesar has now warned of further conflict following their unprecedented invasion into Russia this May. Now, the anti-Putin Russians are planning to continue their siege against their home country and assist Ukraine in its fight. Caesar told The Observer: “It will be our third operation. After that there will be a fourth, and fifth. We have ambitious plans. We want to free all our territory [Russia].” The legion consists of Russian military volunteers, many of whom have been dubbed as “extremists and Nazis” by their home government. As Putin continues to cling to what’s left of his power following the embarrassment from Wagner, Caesar issued new criticisms towards the dictator and his effect on Russia. He said: “Putin has degraded and lumpenised the Russian population, playing to their basest instincts. “They became stupid and aggressive. He tells them they live badly because of the west rather than the truth – that their poor living conditions are the result of thieving and mafia government in Moscow.” Caesar said he doesn’t respect Putin’s crony and leader of Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, who pulled a similar stunt last month as he and his troops attempted to march on Moscow. Caesar said: “Prigozhin and Putin have the same values. Prigozhin is more charismatic and appeals to ultra-patriots who want to fight to the end. “They think harsher methods will bring them victory. It’s not realistic.” Caesar has said he believes the Ukrainian counteroffensive will be “100% successful”, as the vacancy left by Wagner fighters means Russia is less prepared on the battlefield. He explained: “Wagner was Russia’s most competent military outfit. I fought against them in Bakhmut. They nearly succeeded in taking the city. “Their exit depresses the morale of the Russian army.” Ukraine’s highly anticipated counteroffensive is well underway, and this morning Ukrainian forces blew up a Russian ammunition depot with a British supplied Storm Shadow missile. Locals said a “powerful explosion” came before the raging inferno – and speculated the strike was by precision Storm Shadow missiles. The strike was in Sukhodilsk, only six miles from Ukraine’s border with Russia and 80 miles from the front line. The missiles have a 155-mile range and are wreaking havoc in Russian occupied areas.
