Apple's MacBook Air Unlikely to Get OLED Upgrade Soon; OLED MacBook Pro Could Arrive This Year: Kuo

Apple will launch a new MacBook Air model, equipped with an OLED display, in either 2028 or 2029, according to TF Securities’ analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. He also reiterated his earlier forecast that the Cupertino-based tech giant will upgrade its MacBook Pro lineup with an OLED screen in the fourth quarter of 2026 (Q4FY26) or by the first quarter of 2027 (Q1FY27). However, Apple has yet to confirm these details. The launch timelines are in line with previous reports, which suggested that the MacBook Air with OLED screen could arrive in 2028, while the Pro lineup could get updated with the same later this year.
