At least five injured as huge explosion rips through Paris apartment

AT LEAST five people have been injured after a huge explosion ripped through an apartment in the north of Paris. Over a hundred firefighters battled the blaze on Rue de Nord this afternoon as an inferno charred the flat. A man whose condition was described as an “absolute emergency” was wounded in the blast. The explosion occured at around 2.30pm on Saturday.
