AT least two people have been killed after a bus smashed into a ditch near Paris. It’s understood the bus was swerving out of the way of a car driving on the wrong side of the road when it crashed. The bus crashed near in Mézières-sur-Seine Emergency services rushed to the scene this morning in Mézières-sur-Seine on the D113 route at around 7am local time (6am BST). Helicopters were also deployed to help cut passengers free from the wreckage. Two people have died, and a further six are badly injured. Cops have arrested the driver of the car, reports franceinfo. A source told the outlet the bus careered off the road while trying to avoid a car travelling on the wrong side of the road. The D113 has been closed “until further notice” and motorists have been urged to avoid the area.
