Both Isabella and Lola suffered serious injuries, Jacob said, with Lola having to undergo surgery. Gruesome photos showed the bloody bites and scratches suffered by her owner Isabella as she tried to save her dog. Jacob said on GoFundMe: “Seven weeks out from our wedding, one of the worst possible things happened to Lola our three-year-old miniature dachshund and Isabelle my fiance. “They were both attacked unprovoked and mauled by another dog while at an off-leash dog park on the Gold Coast. “My fiance was very badly injured trying to extract Lola from the dog’s grip. Safe to say that without Isabelle’s quick thinking, Lola wouldn’t be here with us.” A photo shared on the GoFundMe page showed Lola lying on a blanket with a long stretch of stitches on her neck. Jacob shared a photo of Isabella and Lola sitting in the sunshine on a patio, and said the two are resting and recovering from the harrowing incident. He said: “We’re so grateful to the members of the community who we don’t know that came to their rescue. “Lola’s operation went well but she still has a long journey ahead with her recovery and it’s early days.” Another woman shared how she screamed in horror when she saw blood “squirting” after a dog viciously attacked her in a park. Jucena Ali was walking her own pet outside a café in Cwmdonkin Park, Swansea, on Saturday April, 29 when she noticed a short-haired border collie wondering alone. She told WalesOnline: “You can always tell by a dog’s body language what’s going to happen.” Jucena tried to move her emotional support dog, Reggie, out of the way but the border collie started behaving in a manner that indicated it was ready to attack. Within seconds the canine had its jaws locked around the horrified dog walker’s arm. After releasing its gip for a moment, it launched another attack, and Jucena described the mutt manically shaking its head from side to side. She explained: “Because I screamed in pain, I think that’s when the owner decided to take the dog off me. “I felt something warm trickling down my arm so I lifted up my sleeve and there was blood squirting everywhere.” instagram/isypaynefitIsabella is now healing at home after the ordeal[/caption] instagram/isypaynefitIsabelle and pup Lola are now healing at home[/caption] instagram/isypaynefitPoor pup Lola underwent surgery for her serious injuries[/caption] instagram/isypaynefitCutie Lola underwent surgery for her injuries[/caption]
