Nine people have been seriously injured – with one fighting for their life, medics said. Pictures from the scene showed rescue workers holding on to a metal wire to try to reach the wreckage. Terrified passengers screamed as the bus skidded some 49ft down into the ravine at around 12pm local time on Tuesday. One passenger told state radio station RTCG: “I was listening to music and all was normal. “Then all of a sudden there were screams and the sound of glass breaking.” Prosecutor Andjela Radovanovic told reporters that a Brit national and a woman had died. The two victims died at the scene. Police said: “In the traffic accident, caused by the landing of a bus from the highway in which there were about 30 passengers, at least two people were killed – whose death was confirmed on the spot. “Several passengers received light and serious injuries and are receiving medical assistance.” The cause of the crash is being investigated.
