POLICE have shot a wanted man dead in a Brussels cafe after two Swedish football fans were killed by a suspected ISIS terrorist last night. Abdesalem Lassoued, 45 – who opened fire on two Swedish nationals and wounded a third person in central Brussels on Monday night – was shot by cops in a cafe on Tuesday morning. A spokesman for the prosecutor’s office, Eric Van Duyse, said officers “opened fire” on Lassoued in the Schaerbeek neighborhood of the Belgian capital, before later confirming he was responsible for Monday’s attack. It was later announced Lassoued died from his injuries, Belgian public broadcaster RTBF said on Tuesday. TIf comes after two men, both wearing Sweden football , were shot and killed in the street in Brussels at 7pm around three miles from King Baudouin Stadium, where a Euro qualifier match was being played. Sweden and Belgium both agreed to discontinue the contest during halftime with the score at 1-1 as the assailant fled the scene and remained at large.
