A CAT that survived four WEEKS stranded in a shelled block of flats in Ukraine has finally been rescued by big-hearted animal lovers. The feline – which miraculously survived a rocket strike from Putin’s butchers – was saved from the seventh floor in a suburb of Kyiv after a mammoth social media campaign. A team led by local hero Eugene Kibets – who had responded to desperate calls online to save the cat – used a fire engine with a crane to reach the stranded animal high up in the charred building. A brave emergency services worker then climbed the vertigo educing crane to grab the cat, which can be seen peaking over the edge of a blown out apartment. The kitty – which is likely to have used up at least one of its nine lives throughout the saga – is now being treated at a local animal clinic, where she was started eating again.
