Elden Ring PC performance and best settings guide

Update: Elden Ring is now out and the recipient of a day-one patch, which in part aims to address the stuttering issue described in the performance section below. Sadly, players are still reporting problems, including some that I dodged - like invisible enemies. Oh dear!
