The EU's vow to provide a billion euros in humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, is “a bad joke”, according to French politician Karel Vereycken, who argues that Western powers should urgently resume aid transfers to the Central Asian state and unblock the county's assets to prevent it from collapsing.
