That’s when her neighbour on the floor below, identified as Shontakbaev Sabit, steps out of his window and tugs at her right leg and tells her to let go. Sabit swiftly catches her, gets his balance and hands her over to someone waiting by his window. The rescue – which took a minute to complete – happened in the country’s capital Nur-Sultan on Wednesday. Fortunately, our hero Shontakbaev Sabit, born in 1985, seeing the hanging, crying child, without hesitation and risking his own life, took emergency action and literally caught and saved the little girl’s life in a matter of seconds,” the ministry said. Cautioning parents about leaving the kids unsupervised, the ministry said: “Dear parents, this was a happy occasion when the child was rescued safely, but there are many other incidents with a tragic outcome. “Never leave children unsupervised by adults!
