Horror pics show £700k Lamborghini left a melted wreck in fireball crash after owner ‘flipped it in motorway race’

HORROR pictures show the fiery aftermath after a driver flipped his £700k Lamborghini during a motorway race. The expensive car burst into flames in the suburb of the Mexican cities of Cuernavaca and Chilpancingo on Monday. Horror pics show the burnt out remnants of the expensive Lamborghini Onlookers reported how the 700k burst into flames before the owner fled the scene According to witnesses, the driver, who remains unknown to police, had been racing the powerful SVJ 63 model before he lost control and overturned.   The owner managed to escape burning wreck and fled the scene as the motor exploded into a fierce fireball. Emergency services quickly attended to douse the flames as motorway lanes were closed until the wreckage was eventually removed by a crane. Shocking images later showed how the fire had melted away most of the exterior with only the chassis and wheels left visible. Mexican authorities now say an investigation to track down the Lamborghini owner is underway. The high speed incident comes just weeks after a tragic crash killed a Greek businessman. The businessman had only bought his powerful sports car moments before and had driven just 3km (2 miles) before losing control of the vehicle and swerving off the road.   Tzortzis’ body was pulled from the car and transferred to a morgue in Voula. His wife, Athina Kontopanou was in the car with him at the time. She was helped from the burning wreckage by Greek singer Stan, who saw the tragedy unfold while driving behind the car.
