A HUGE fire has engulfed an apartment block in Amsterdam seeing a massive black smoke cloud fill the sky above the Brit tourist hotspot. Photos and video show the raging inferno ripping through the building, with firefighters battling to get it under control. It said the fire broke out around 8pm today. The inferno was said to have started in one apartment, before quickly spreading through the building. It is said to have now destroyed several homes. Nearby roads have been closed off as a result of the smoke, which can be seen billowing into the sky. Footage from the scene shows flames leaping from the building, with fire crews fighting the blaze from all angles.
