A HOLIDAYMAKER revealed how he bagged a rooftop terrace all to himself at a Malaga resort while other Brits scrambled for a sunbed. John Yates took to TikTok to show off his spacious sunbathing pad as he filmed the chaotic scenes by the pool. John Yates shared the clip of tourists making the mad dash for their sunbeds on TikTok He managed to nab a whole empty terrace for himself – and it even had a bar In the 45-second clip, the bloke films the pool from his balcony as swarms of tourists rush to grab sunloungers. Men and women in shorts and flip-flops are seen scattered around the decking area while trying to nab their beds and carry them away. But while the sunseekers dash to claim their beds, John swerved the camera up towards a sunny terrace with several empty deckchairs. “I’ll be on there with the rooftop terrace all to myself,” he says, before flashing viewers the chaotic pool scene again. “Look at them, all look, honestly pathetic they are, they’re not letting them back in till going on 10am,” he says. John explained that the tourists will chuck their towels on the beds and then head to the restaurant before the pool opens, calling the act “hilarious”. While showing his followers his deserted rooftop space, he says: “There’s mine, private, I don’t mess about”. There appear to be 14 free deckchairs on the balcony which John cleverly nabbed all for himself amid the bizarre dawn dash. He even claimed that his secret find had a bar that only he and his group would be using. The post racked up over 4900 views on TikTok and John’s followers were quick to leave comments commending him on his actions. One wrote: “Enjoy your space and bar!” Another said: “Pathetic go on hols to get up early wtf”. But this isn’t the first time the battle for the sunbeds has been caught on camera. Another bloke was seen making a mad dash for the sunbeds at a Spanish resort before dumping five towels down as others scrambled for a space. A “sunbed hogger” was also mocked for wearing running gear to a pool as he prepared to sprint to try and grab his spot by the pool. And a British tourist and self-proclaimed “sun lounge stealer” told The Sun Online how he always hogs the best sunbeds abroad – and tells others: “If you snooze you lose”. He called the rush ‘hilarious’
