I’m the world’s most eligible bachelor after £9million lottery win – but I still live with my mum

AFTER scooping millions on the lottery, most people would rush to buy a sprawling mansion and leave their old life behind. But although lotto winner Kursat Yildirim, 42, has splashed out on flashy cars, designer clothes and watches, he still lives with his mum. He dumped his girlfriend after receiving the windfall and ditched his job as a crane operator in Dortmund, Germany. Kursat – also known as Chico – then went on a monster spending spree, splurging £1.3 million within one month of his win. The lotto winner pushed the boat out with his first purchase and spent an eye-watering £393,000 on his stunning Ferrari 448 Pista. And Kursat just couldn’t resist buying the tasty Porsche Turbo S2 Cabriolet too, which set him back another £218,000. He also gave his wardrobe a complete overhaul – buying luxury clothing from the likes of Gucci, Prada and Versace. The big spender went on to buy his local pub, a penthouse in Istanbul and a 20-hectare plantation with 6,000 almond trees for a nuts business. Kursat was even seen strolling around with a four-foot pet alligator on a dog lead in public, asserting his status as a swaggering millionaire. But the bachelor claims he hasn’t let his big win get to his head – confessing that he still lives with his parents in Germany. He wholesomely described how he still loves being welcomed by his beloved mother when he comes home, as he does not like living alone. Kursat – who came to Germany at the age of 12 with his parents who were Turkish immigrants – explained: “I am happy living with my parents. “They are here only for half the year anyway, as they spend the other half living in Turkey. They told me, both of your brothers are gone, we got a big living room, with three bedrooms and we would be really happy if you lived with us. “To be honest I love it as well, I come home in the evening and my mum is there.” However, there is also another shocking reason why Kursat hasn’t flown the nest – as he says the property market in Germany is too expensive, even for a multimillionaire. “The bottom line is that with the price of houses in Dortmund, it’s just not worth it to buy,” he added. While being proud of his living situation, Kursat also opened up about the dark times in his life – which his lotto win saved him from. The former steel plant worker admitted that prior to his numbers coming up, he had been on a downward spiral. Kursat said he had been heading on cocaine and booze binges while visiting brothels and casinos on a regular basis. But the former con’s life did a dramatic U-turn when a pal in Turkey rang him to explain he had bagged the £8.72 million lotto prize. Kursat appeared to be riding an extraordinary streak of luck – as he won the lottery another two times over the next six months. He said he continues to play the lottery as he “just can’t change it” after 15 years and scooped another £3,800, which he gave away. Kursat previously vowed that he wouldn’t let his good fortune change him. He told the German newspaper Bild: “Ninety per cent are jealous and think I don’t deserve this. But I don’t care. “Believe me, I’ll never forget where I’m coming from. I’m working class, I’ll never become an arrogant person.” Kursat is now said to be busy cooking up his latest venture, a giveaway initiative named “‘Chico, I wish.” He reportedly used cash from the donation campaigns to fund a fan’s penis enlargement surgery.
