Israel Denies US Claims It Agreed to Four-Hour ‘Humanitarian Pauses’ in Gaza Assault

Israel has said it aims to completely destroy Hamas, a Palestinian militant group that has vowed to destroy the Zionist Israeli state and which won elections in Gaza in 2006. However, the group has gained credibility among Palestinians in recent years as the Palestinian Authority has been unable to halt Israeli settlement in the West Bank.
