AN AUSSIE landlord has been slammed for listing a party bus with no wheels as a “granny flat.” The tiny “flat” would cost $250 AUD per week – for a minimum of six months or longer. The landlord has been slammed for the postingTikTok The depressing accommodation has gone viralTikTok The posting read: “It was one of my old party buses that needs a new engine so I stripped out the party bus seating and hopefully someone out there will find it useful.” Rach McQueen shared the shocking posting on TikTok, and trolled the would-be landlord, who asked for a whopping $500 AUD upfront. She said: “I’m happy to report that in these times of economic stress, we have found a landlord who’s doing their part to be a humanitarian and offering a cheap granny flat for someone to have a roof over their head. “Did I trick you? No. It’s a f****** decrepit bus that doesn’t have wheels.” The “flat” has a queen and single bed, couch, toilet, kitchen bench, fridge, air conditioner and heater, washing machine, booth seating for dining, a dryer and a microwave. Rachel joked: “It does seem to have more features than a lot of actual rental properties.” But if tenants are more than a week late on rent, the landlord said they would remove and tow the party bus. Rachel pointed out: “They’re not just going to be paying $250 a week for a roof over their head, they’re also going to need somewhere to park it, which could potentially cost money. “So f*** only knows how much it’s going to cost, total, each week to live in this dilapidated bus and you can’t even move it and you can’t even like drive it around to different spots. “This is another reason why the housing crisis needs to be brought under control because people think that they can take a rotting piece of junk out of their backyard and make $250 a week from it.” Earlier this year, a landlord was slammed for offering a room “smaller than Harry Potter’s cupboard under the stairs.” The “room” that consists of a single mattress on the floor surrounded by blanket walls is up for rent on Airbnb for £34.5 per night. It is located in the middle of a living room in an apartment in Waterloo, Sydney, and its host has described it as a “rare spacious living room near the CBD.” The interior is crampedTikTok The tiny accommodation has been dragged onlineTikTok @rachmcqueen1 Real Estate with Rachel. Another landlord sans landdoing their part to generously provide a roof over the head of someone struggling during this housing crisis.
