FEARS grow as the search for the missing Titanic submersible continues despite those on board reportedly running out of oxygen. The vessel, named Titan, vanished on Sunday about 435 miles south of St John’s, Newfoundland, during a voyage to the Titanic shipwreck off the coast of Canada. Now there is believed to be no breathable air left on board. The 6.7m (22ft)-long OceanGate Expeditions vessel, which has British billionaire adventurer Hamish Harding on board, reportedly had a 96-hour oxygen supply in case of emergencies. Also in the undersea craft are UK-based businessman ShahzadaDawood and his son Suleman, OceanGate’s chief executive and founder Stockton Rush and French submersible pilot Paul-Henri Nargeolet. The international rescue effort was stepped up today as the RAF and USAF are flying in a specialist ultra-deep submersible to St John’s Canada. Follow our missing Titanic submarine blog for updates...
