OCEANGATE has revealed that they believe the five passengers onboard the missing submersible have “been lost” after debris from sub found on ocean floor. The vessel, named Titan, vanished on Sunday about 435 miles south of St John’s, Newfoundland, during a voyage to the Titanic shipwreck off the coast of Canada. In the undersea craft are UK-based billionaire adventurer Hamish Harding, businessman ShahzadaDawood and his son Suleman, OceanGate’s chief executive and founder Stockton Rush and French submersible pilot Paul-Henri Nargeolet. On Thursday, the US Coast Guard revealed that “a debris field was discovered within the search area by an ROV near the Titanic. Experts within the unified command are evaluating the information.” In an interview with Sky News, a friend of two of the missing men said the debris found was a “landing frame and rear cover from the submersible,” according to a WhatsApp message he received on-air. In a statement, OceanGate said that they believe those onboard, who they referred to as “true explorers”, “have sadly been lost.” Follow our missing Titanic submarine blog for updates...
