TITAN sub victim Shahzada Dawood would never have put his family at risk if he knew of alleged safety concerns, a friend has said. The 48-year-old businessman is believed to have died on the OceanGate submersible alongside his son, Suleman. Now, a friend of the deceased, Richard Hawkes, has said Shahzada would never have put his family in danger if he knew the risks. “I know how much Shahzada loved his family,” said Mr Hawkes, reports the BBC. “I can’t imagine that Shahzada would have done anything that he thought possibly could have had the devastating consequences that we’ve seen this week.” Meanwhile, an investigation into the Titan’s implosions has begun with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police confirming they are looking into the circumstances of the passengers’ deaths.
