THE US crane ship Horizon Arctic is set to arrive at the Titanic wreck tomorrow in a race against the clock as crew on board the missing submarine have under 24 hours of breathable air left. The submarine vanished on Sunday and was expected to resurface later that day, but did not. Now, three days into the search, there is believed to be less than 24 hours of breathable air on board. In a possible breakthrough, searchers said they heard “underwater noises” on Tuesday and Wednesday while looking for the vessel and subsequently relocated the search. However, they have not found the submersible yet. In a press conference on Wednesday, Co-Founder and Board Chair of Horizon Maritime Services, Sean Leet said that the Horizon Arctic will arrive at the wreck tomorrow. “We are very aware of the time sensitivity around this mission,” he said. The five passengers stuck on the sub are Stockton Rush, Hamish Harding, Paul-Henri Nargeolet, Shahzada and Suleman Dawood. Follow our missing Titanic submarine blog for updates...
