My holiday was ruined thanks to a ridiculous passport error – I cried so much but people say it was MY fault

A WOMAN has an urgent warning to holidaymakers after she was forced to miss her long-haul flight over one frustrating error. Amy Grundy was supposed to be travelling from Manchester to Thailand but was wasn’t allowed to fly after a small rip was spotted in her her passport. She told TikTok all about her nightmare ordeal that saw her miss her expensive flight and rush off to find a replacement. In the video, Amy explained that she jumped on a train to Liverpool, but they had no emergency passport appointments. She then headed off for Glasgow and after a lot of tears managed to get a fresh passport. Finally, she says: “24 hours later, £70 down, crying so much, I got a passport. Looking much happier and back at the airport, she warned others: “Yeah, don’t travel with a ripped passport guys.” “Check your passport for any damage because you will get denied to fly, especially going to Asia,” she added. However, other users were quick to call Amy out, blaming her for missing her flight. “At what point did you think you would be able to travel using that! It’s a mess,” one harshly responded. Another wrote: “I washed my passport and thought mine was bad but that is so damaged.” A third chimed in: “Why if your passport in that state anyway? It’s a precious document that should be cared for…”. It comes as a woman was left furious at being forced to miss her holiday after a mishap at check-in that was not her fault.
