A FED-UP couple has sued their nightmare neighbour after constantly blocking their shared driveway for six hours a day. Apollo and Nataliya Hogan, from Brooklyn, filed a lawsuit against Edwin Aponte for “conducting weightlifting and exercise classes”. There, he is said to lift weights, slam medicine balls, and sledgehammer tires. Apollo and Nataliya also claimed their neighbour refuses to let cars into the driveway while he’s pumping iron and is damaging the concrete with his loud antics. The fed-up couple wants a judge to order Edwin to stop and are seeking unspecified damages. It comes after a homeowner was left in shock after she woke up to find her back garden gate completely boarded up by petty neighbours. Rashonda Kelly, who lives in Virginia Beach, in the US state of Virginia, said she knows the people responsible and was “very suspicious” as to why they did it. The woman believes it was all done to stop her from getting direct access to a nearby neighbourhood. Her backyard fence sits in a strategic position – separating Virginia Beach from the Summerset Lake community. The gate went up in early February 2015, but when Rashonda came out back in March that same year it was boarded up and with pieces missing. Meanwhile, a savvy neighbour decided to take revenge on the couple next door who complained about her fence. Donna Yopp Paul was ordered by her “controlling” neighbours to reduce the height of her six-foot fence by two feet to match the others in the area. Although she had no choice but to obey the county rule, the savvy woman cited another by-law which allowed her paint the fence facing their house in clashing neon colours. So while Donna kept it a pretty grey shade on her side, the couple now have a brand spanking new pink, purple, yellow and green fence to look at.
