On Monday, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger stopped working for almost six hours, bringing everything to a standstill worldwide. Facebook chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg, on Tuesday apologised on social media and said that the disruption was caused because of configuration changes to its routers.
