Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is due to meet his US counterpart Joe Biden on May 1. The upcoming official visit to Washington will be the first by a Philippine president in more than ten years. Marcos Jr. has already pledged to forge "an even stronger relationship" with the US.
