OpenAI Launches GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna With Lower Prices, Improved Performance

OpenAI has introduced GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna as lower-cost additions to its latest model family. The new models are available through ChatGPT Work, Codex and the API, with Luna also accessible to Free and Go users through the desktop app. Their API pricing is 50 percent lower than the promotional rates of their GPT-5.6 counterparts. OpenAI says Sol and Luna improve results across professional tasks, coding and computer use, while also reducing errors and producing clearer responses with less jargon.
