Russia coup latest — Wagner Group ‘agrees to de-escalate situation’ and Zelensky slams Moscow as rebellion unfolds

PRESIDENT Zelensky weighed in on Wagner Group’s rebellion against Russia and Vladimir Putin as he claimed that Moscow “destroyed itself” for choosing the “path of evil.” It comes as Yevgeny Prigozhin‘s mercenary group has turned back to their bases after agreeing to de-escalate the rebellion to “avoid bloodhsed”. The Wagner group were previously on their way to Moscow after the mercenary group turned against Vladimir Putin amid claims that Russia has been targeting Wagner soldiers after the criticism of resources in Bakhmut. The Ukrainian President believes that “no lie can hide” how Russia has been using “propaganda” for a long time as he pointed out how Moscow now finds itself in a weak position. Zelensky said: “Russia’s weakness is obvious. Full-scale weakness.
