A RUSSIAN oligarch has reportedly killed his wife and teenage daughter with an axe in their Spanish villa before taking his own life. Sergey Protosenya, 55, who had a fortune of over £333million, is reported by Telecinco to have hacked his wife and 18-year-old daughter to death. Protosenya graduated in Civil Engineering at Moscow University and held the position of Deputy Chairman on the Board of Directors for natural gas company Novatek for over seven years. The Russian family reportedly was registered at their villa in Lloret de Mar but lived in France and visited the Spanish residence as their second home. Protosenya and his wife Natalia, 53, had two children together, the 18-year-old victim and a teenage son who was in France at the time of the alleged killing spree. Officers checked on the villa and found Protosenya dead in outside the home. The police then found the dead bodies of his wife and teen daughter in the house. Cops are reportedly working in the hypothesis that Protosenya killed them both with an axe while they were sleeping. They enjoyed golf and travelling all over the world, often sharing images of their apparently idyllic life. Protosenya had no previous history of abuse, however, the police suspect the killings were gender-related and are investigating the case as femicide. The police probe is ongoing.
