The squirrel’s furry tail could be seen poking out of the beak as the gull attempted to swallow the rodent. Many suggested the squirrel was already dead before being swallowed by the bird, as it didn’t put up a fight. After being posted on TikTok, the shocking footage went viral and disturbed viewers. One commented: “Wtf?? I never knew they could do this!” Another said: “Now I know the world has gone mad. I have never seen this before.” Others found the situation rather funny, and poked fun at the gull for biting off a bit more than it could chew. A follower quipped: “That’s going to leave the biggest bird dropping in history.” Another chimed in: “I guess the seagull might need some tonic water for digestion.” The gull flew away after swallowing the squirrel, seemingly satisfied with it’s mammoth meal. In Rome, a seagull was spotted eating a huge rat as onlookers filmed the stunning moment. The seagull is seen on a pavement with the large rodent in its beak, before swallowing the rat whole to the shock of those watching. It then flies off with only the rat’s tail visible from its mouth after someone walks out of an entrance and spooks it. The video has prompted locals to rip into the local authorities over the messy streets in the Italian capital. Many complained about the lack of street hygiene and accumulated rubbish in the city centre for attracting more rodents, cockroaches and other creepy-crawlies to the area recently. Facebook user Roberto Fedeli said: “Seagulls are predators. In cities, instead of fish, they eat rodents.” TikTok/planetaferoz000The seagull flew towards a passing car after eating the squirrel[/caption]
