THIS is the terrifying moment a little girl nearly hung herself as she hurtled down a playground slide. Video shows the three-year-old become momentarily entangled in a rope as she played at an amusement park in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. Ksenia, 3, was playing on the playground slide when the terrifying incident took place Her mother watched on in horror as he became entangled in the climbing rope The heart stopping footage began when an older child had discarded a cord on the climbing wall just as young Ksenia went to slide down. Terrifyingly, the rope soon wrapped around her neck like a noose as her mother, Anastasia Kovalyova, 32, watched on in horror. After the video ended, onlookers reported that she quickly rushed to rescue her “shocked” daughter who allegedly suffered several chest wounds. Anastasia then begged for help from staff as she was left waiting “almost two hours later” for an ambulance to arrive. It came as she later shared a damning image showing a visible red mark around her daughters neck – showing the full extent of the near death incident. Lawyer Nadezhda Taskina, a friend of beautician and designer Anastasia, said the mother has since been rewinding the incident in her head repeatedly and has been unable to relax. Despite leaving minor physical scars, Taskina suggested that the child has not been the same since. “Ksenia is (normally) a very vivid, talkative girl, but she has been silent since the accident,” she said. “She does not even talk to her mother.” Police and the Russian Investigative Committee have now launched preliminary probes into the incident. The shopping centre has claimed that staff at the Grek Land amusement park had told the mother that this attraction was intended as a “climbing” facility for older children, and not a slide for toddlers. However, the authorities are checking that the correct safety measures were in place with a forensic investigation also said to be in the offing.
