Two men who gang-raped Brit, 18, as she lay on sunbed after morning swim on Greek holiday are jailed

TWO men have been jailed for life for gang-raping a British woman on her sunbed in Greece. The two Pakistani men, aged 27 and 24, attacked the then 18-year-old on a beach in Rethymno – a city in the north of Crete – in July 2022. GettyThe then 18-year-old Brit woman was attacked in the city of Rethymno in Crete[/caption] The men – who have not been named – approached the Brit as she sunbathed on a sunbed before launching their attack.  The young tourist tearfully told Rethymno court how the two men pinned her down on the sunbed and raped her, Olympia newspaper reports. The woman immediately reported the attack to the police before officers identified and arrested the suspects. The two men reportedly confessed to the gang-rape at the time of their arrest. But during their court appearance in Greece, they claimed the victim – who has not been identified – had consented. On Thursday, the court sentenced the two men to life in prison. They will serve their sentence in prisons in the Greek city of Tripoli.  According to reports, the two men have appealed the sentence.
