Brazilians are heading to the polls Sunday for general elections to elect the president, vice president, the National Congress, state governors and legislative assemblies. The president and vice president are elected on a 50% + 1 vote basis, meaning a second round will occur on October 30 if no candidate gets more than half the votes.
