VLADIMIR Putin has been forced into cancelling several Victory Day parades due to “fears of security and public discontent” according to the UK’s Ministry of Defence. In their latest intelligence update, the ministry said 21 cities have cancelled their 09 May parades “citing security concerns”. They tweeted: “Moscow’s Victory Day celebration is likely to go ahead but on a smaller scale. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s reception following the parade (last held in 2019) will not go ahead. This comes as Ukraine claims to have shot down its first “Russian hypersonic missile” over Kyiv earlier this week, reports the Independent.
