Ukraine news latest — Volodymyr Zelensky denies claims that Kyiv attacked Vladimir Putin & Russia launches fresh strikes

VOLODYMYR Zelensky has denied claims that Ukraine carried out an alleged drone attack, which Russia says was an attempt on Vladimir Putin’s life. Speaking during a visit to Finland, Zelensky said: “We don’t attack Putin or Moscow. We fight on our territory. We are defending our villages and cities.” The alleged attack was a “planned terrorist action” according to the Kremlin, who said it reserves the right to retaliate. The Russian president wasn’t injured, there was no damage caused and there were no casualties, the Kremlin added.  It comes as fresh explosions have been heard in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities this morning and attacks were also reported in Zaporizhzhia.
