VLADIMIR Putin has used today’s Victory Day parade spout twisted lies about western plots “for the invasion” of Russia. The Russian tyrant said the war in Ukraine had been necessary because the West was “preparing for the invasion of our land, including Crimea”. But so far a widely anticipated declaration of all-out war on Ukraine has failed to materialise. The news comes as Volodymyr Zelensky used the eve of Victory Day to say that Russia will “lose” this war as “evil always loses” during his daily address. He went on to say that Russia had “forgotten everything that was important to the victors of World War Two”.
