Nintendo has been very robust in its support of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, regularly bringing out new content for enthusiastic racers to keep the experience fresh. That trend continues with the upcoming Booster Pass 4, which is targeting release later this spring. While we don’t have all the details, today’s Nintendo Direct gave us a look at the new course set on Yoshi’s Island, which looks just as whimsical and fun as that locale ever has. We also learned that Birdo is joining the roster of available racers – the one-time Mario foe first appeared in a Mario Kart game with Double Dash, and so this appearance is a return to the road. Subscribers to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service are able to access the new Booster Pack 4 for no additional cost, but the new booster will also be available for separate purchase.
