Footage showed her abode that offered two small bedrooms, a bathroom and a common living area. The US woman explained she lived in the house with her family but she used a simple trick when she wanted to rent it out for some extra savings. She said: “This is how I rented my house for one month while I lived in Costa Rica. “My house is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom duplex but I only rented out one room. “I kept the kids’ room full of storage. “I just shoved in all our personal belongings and the kids’ stuff and locked the door so the guests didn’t have access to it. “And then they were able to use the rest of the house. “So it is possible to rent out your house even if you have kids and a bunch of stuff – all you got to do is shove it all into one room and lock the door.” The homeowner claimed she earned £2,200 in the month she rented it out. The video has more than 700 views with other entrepreneurs admiring her hack. “Damn awesome,” a TikTok user said. “I can’t have someone in my house,” another added. One family revealed how they live in a converted bus full-time, and it even has a nursery for their kids. Another landlord revealed how she rented the upstairs of her house to pay off her mortgage, which divided opinion online. TikTok/ scrunchyfiThe woman claimed she earnt £2,200 in one month[/caption]
