Winter Covid Surge Could Kill 700,000 Europeans by Next Spring, WHO Warns

The World Health Organization’s Regional Office for Europe has warned that the region could see up to 700,000 deaths this winter if measures are not quickly taken to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.
