A WOMAN suffered horrific genital mutilation at the hands of her monster husband after a campaign of abuse, reports claim. The man, from Madhya Pradesh, India, suspected his wife was cheating on him and allegedly sewed her vagina shut in a shocking act of revenge. Doctors have examined the victim and her condition is reportedly stable. “A case has been filed against the accused after his wife reported the matter,” Anil Sonkar, assistant superintendent of police in Singrauli, said. Despite being left in agonising pain and the torture she has endured, the woman is reportedly asking authorities to be lenient with her husband. Police are continuing the investigation. He allegedly bound his 22-year-old wife’s hands and feet before carrying out the horrific attack, Latin Times reported. Familiarise yourself with the Silent Solution, reporting abuse without speaking down the phone, instead dialing “55”. Always keep some money on you, including change for a pay phone or bus fare. If you suspect your partner is about to attack you, try to go to a lower-risk area of the house – for example, where there is a way out and access to a telephone. Avoid the kitchen and garage, where there are likely to be knives or other weapons. Avoid rooms where you might become trapped, such as the bathroom, or where you might be shut into a cupboard or other small space.
