Yellen Warns US Debt Default Risks Mass Unemployment, Broad Economic Weakness

The US Secretary of the Treasury has indicated the US economy is at risk of mass unemployment, payment failures, broad economic weakness and interest rates rising “into perpetuity” if the government defaults on its debt later this year.
